Mikayla and Chase were married on July 11, 2026, at Dream Point Ranch’s Mountain Crest Venue in Bixby, Oklahoma. Their day was romantic, timeless, and full of the sweetest personal touches, with a soft blue-and-white palette that felt perfect for a summer wedding overlooking one of the best views in Oklahoma.
We joined Mikayla and Chase through our Month-Of Coordination package, stepping in to bring all of their plans together, coordinate their vendor team, and make sure everything they had envisioned actually happened when wedding day arrived.
A Romantic Blue & White Summer Wedding
Mikayla and Chase kept their design soft, romantic, and classic with shades of blue and white carried throughout the day. Mountain Crest already makes such a statement on its own, so their design complemented the venue rather than competing with it.
One of our favorite details was waiting for guests right at their seats. Custom cookies from Victoria Jean were placed at every setting, adding a sweet and personal touch to the tablescape.
It was thoughtful details like these that made the reception feel like their wedding while still keeping the overall design timeless and elevated.
A Ceremony With a Pretty Incredible Backdrop
Sometimes you don't need to build a backdrop when Oklahoma decides to give you one.
Mikayla and Chase held their ceremony outside at Mountain Crest, overlooking Dream Point Ranch's incredible view. With the rolling landscape stretching out behind them, the setting did most of the talking.
It was beautiful, romantic, and exactly the kind of ceremony that makes Dream Point Ranch such a special place to get married.
The only catch? It was July 11 in Oklahoma.
And it was hot.
Thankfully, the reception was already completely set inside Mountain Crest, which meant that once the ceremony ended, everyone could make their way inside without waiting on a room flip or reception setup. On a summer wedding day like this one, having two separate spaces ready to go made all the difference.
The Details You Don't See in the Photos
Of course, wedding days don't always go exactly according to plan.
One of the design elements for Mikayla and Chase's reception was draping intended to conceal the kitchen and staff area. The rental company delivered everything we needed... but accidentally left without actually installing it.
So, we did what wedding planners do.
We figured it out.
In between everything else happening that day, our team jumped in, worked out how it needed to be installed, and got the draping up ourselves before guests entered the reception.
Was installing draping on our original wedding-day to-do list? Not exactly.
But that's also why we believe so strongly in having an experienced team on-site. There are a hundred little things happening behind the scenes on a wedding day that the couple should never have to think about. When something doesn't go according to plan, our job isn't to bring the problem to the bride. It's to find a solution and keep the day moving.
And that's exactly what we did.
Sweet Speeches, Custom Hats & Sonic Corn Dogs
Once everyone was inside, it was time to celebrate.
Mikayla and Chase's reception had the perfect mix of romantic details and personality. There were touching speeches, plenty of celebrating, and custom hats that made their way onto the dance floor.
And then came one of our favorite details of the entire night: Sonic corn dogs.
Because an elevated wedding can still end with Sonic.
Late-night snacks are always a win in our book, and after a full summer wedding day, corn dogs were pretty hard to beat.
And Then Came the Rain
Apparently Oklahoma wasn't finished giving us weather for the day.
By the end of the night, the summer heat had turned into a full-blown thunderstorm. And when we say it poured, we mean poured.
But honestly? It was kind of a vibe.
The storm was raging outside, the celebration kept going inside, and we just rolled with it. After a day of heat, last-minute draping installation, coordinating vendors, and everything else happening behind the scenes, a giant Oklahoma thunderstorm felt like a pretty fitting finale.
Wedding days don't have to go perfectly to feel perfect. Sometimes the unexpected parts end up becoming part of what makes the day so memorable.
A Summer Wedding We'll Always Remember
Mikayla and Chase's Dream Point Ranch wedding was romantic and beautiful, but it was also such a good reminder of what wedding planning looks like beyond the pretty details.
It's making sure the reception is completely ready before guests need to escape the July heat. It's noticing the draping didn't get installed and getting it done. It's keeping vendors moving, timelines on track, and the couple completely removed from the problems happening behind the scenes.
And sometimes, it's watching an Oklahoma storm absolutely pour outside while the party keeps going.
Mikayla and Chase, we loved getting to be a part of your day. From the blue-and-white details and that incredible Mountain Crest view to the custom hats, corn dogs, sweet speeches, and stormy ending, this was one we'll remember for a long time.
